This pass week was kind of bad for training; my right knee does not like this training program and hurt like crazy after most bike rides and the weight workouts.

I did a nice bike/run Saturday and after I did the rice treatment on it, it still hurt Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday was still sore and by Thursday I was a little concerned with it. Tonight I did a weight workout and it started to ache on the squats.

Outside of that… I had a great day on Sunday! I did 30 miles on the bike and a 6 mile run after. I did it at a nice pace and still got it done in less than 3 hours. I still don’t have a replacement watch for my polar yet and have no idea how fast I was going on the ride or run.

At the end of the run it started pouring rain it actually felt kind of nice after all the training that day.

I got some new shoes for my bike from Chain reaction here in Gainesville. Picked em up for 45 bucks and they fit me!

Now I need to find some pedals and aerobars to complete my bike for now. I also received my Camel Pac this week and have a feeling that is going to be one of those items I will say “How did I ever live without it?”

I am starting to seriously consider getting a coach to help me on my training program. First I am going to try and get someone from the University to help me if that doesn’t work I will check out some of the guys from xtri.com.

Back to the knee issue, I raised my seat another inch to see if that will help with the knee problem. I also need to setup a time to get a real fit for my bike. Bikesource here in Gainesville actually has a very good fitter if I can ever get n there on my days off.
